Him?! What the hell, Faye?!”

Erik’s voice rang, as if emphasizing would recreate the fact. Whilst, the girl sat still then smiled.

“Come on, Erik. It was about a damn time”

There’s no way Faye’s smile won’t grew bigger after that one’s remark. E always knew, nothing bypassed her sharp judgments after all.

“Come on, Mom. You know it is not necessary. I’m just an India. Not at some sort of Civil War zone”

“But you are, a girl, Faye”

Faye sighed deeply. Here goes another moral lessons, again. It always came as a mystery to think that her own mother never seemed to understand that it is impossible for that much of daily dosed talking about ‘this is how normal girl behaved’ wouldn’t had been memorized to the cellular levels.

Like always, Faye would had put the speaker on, and left her mom talks to the empty air. Now, where were her rummaging left out, again? Ah, right. The bloody luxurious cabinet beneath the TV. These whole event committees surely had the best facilities for brilliant mind like her, right.

“Faye, you can’t keep running away from yourself”

Exactly at the same time, one of her finger accidentally clicked on something that was obviously… a mini wine cellar. She reached out for her still ringing phone.

“Okay…… Mom, mommm? The signal seems a bit lost, mom?!” Of course, purposely. Finding that her phone was no longer in use, she tossed the phone rather carelessly to the bed.

“Cabernet Sauvignon” may be cheap, but nothing beat any kind of red wine on a special night like this.

———- June 2015  ——–

Ferris blinked, again and again as he felt like the surroundings were spinning around.

‘Come on let’s go. He is already spinning, like the real Ferris Wheel.’

Sounds and voices. Who are they? Wait, why did he ended up laying on the floor again? Right. The bet. The stupid cocky bets of saying he won’t experience Ferris Wheel no matter how strong dose he took. He sure did lying. Everyone often did that in fact, to be recognized by new friends, right? Especially by the kind of guys.

“Shit, my head” He cursed to himself, despite the numbers of the passer-byes. Who would care about some random strangers who is too drunk to stand up anyway?

“Okay. I’ll just lie down here until my head could get back to its senses. Calm down, Ferris. Things will be alright.”

He inhaled deeply, while laying down in some random corner of the huge hotel room. But as other hangover would be like, normal breathing wasn’t enough.

“Hey, are you okay?”

Voices? Who is that?

“Oh God, you’re drunk. Come on, let me get you back to your room”

Wow. Isn’t that a nice random stranger?

“What is your room? Do you have your key?”

Wait, is it a she or he? Is this person have good deeds, or? He wasn’t able to think further as another sharp pain jabbed through his middle head.

“203. Right pocket of my jeans.”

“Okay, got it. Now, hold onto my shoulder.”

And the rest was a blur.

—– June, 2015 —–

Ferris woke up, rather jerking up, through the bedpost when the sun felt like shining through his closed retina. He shivered. Of course, he was naked after all.

“Good morning” Ferris again jumped dramatically from the bed.

“Who are you?! What do you want?!?!”

The short haired, Semi Asian-looked-girl rolled her eyes, “You’re welcome.”

“You raped me?!”

She looked even more intensely pissed, “Said the man who jumped all over into my body while being completely drunk, and forgetting that his key was actually stuffed in his jacket’s pocket, not the stupid jeans”

Ferris swallowed hard. Oh God, this is terrible. Terrible. She may sued me.

“Don’t worry, I won’t sue you, even though I technically can, from all the evidences I have.” She boldly stated, as if directly answering his puzzled mind.

“What do you want, then?” Ferris asked, rather carefully this time.

“Nothing.”

“Why do you bring me to my room?”

“I don’t know. Gut instincts, I supposed.”

“Why do you let me sleep with you?”

“Because I don’t see the problem in that?”

“Why,”

“Hey, aren’t you supposed to ask my name instead of bombarding me with unnecessary questions, Mr. Ferris Wheel? Clearly I’m not Regina, the name you shouted when you, you know,” she paused to shift her gaze down, making Ferris even more zipped, “..last night. Oh wait, was it Riana? Renata?” She hissed, clearly in utter disbelief.

“Right…. Uhm, hi, Ms. Savior of mine. May I know your name?”

“Faye. Faye Robinson.”

He analyzed her from head to toe, “Well, your name sounded too…”

“Too western for a rather Asian exterior. I understand.”

And, that’s another added score for a rather interesting girl.

“Yeah. You’re right.”

“It’s not my passport name, or shortly, not my name. But I changed it now, for good. Getting used to how it sounded, Faye Robinson”

He blinked, again. “Why would you change your name?”

She let out a small chuckle, afterwards. Walking forward, she fished a small card from her shirt’s pocket to his face, “For that question, let’s see whether you’ll pass the probation steps to reach that point, Mr. amusement park.”

Slowly (looked sensually to him), she made her way to the door. Ferris couldn’t stop himself from staring.

“Haven’t your Asian-valued mother taught you something, Mr.Ferris, that staring to a woman’s backside is definitely a crime?” To that, Ferris threw his gaze away, embarrassed. While he was drown inside the thought, the sound of the door clicking echoed.

Ferris stared at the scribbled writing on the crumbled paper between his palm.

Faye Robinson.

Think you have the gut, like last night? Prove it by making your phone in use.

Even though dumbfounded, he smiled, “This is gonna be interesting, after all”
